Mating season, and the park says appearances are particularly sporadic in autumn — the troop is well fed in the mountains and under no pressure to come down. These are the only two months of the year with no Snow Monkey Pass on sale at all.
Mean air 7.9 to 14.4 °C in Nagano city, and the park at 850 m runs two to three degrees colder. The gate is 8:30–17:00 and 9:00–16:00 depending on the month.
One price in every month of the year, and the park asks visitors to arrive 30 minutes before closing time.
